What is Alohomora!?
A product of rigorous and excited discussion between a few MuggleNet staff members, Alohomora! was crafted to fill the void left in the aftermath of the final Harry Potter movie release. Led by the rotating voices of the podcast, fans can now re-read the books alongside thousands online and share all their new insights on the show, as well as on the companion section. The project is entirely produced by fans, for fans.
Where can I listen to the podcast?
I can’t find the app/the special features won’t play!
The app is no longer supported by our hosting company, so unfortunately there is nothing we can do to help. You can still download the app (called “Podcast Source by LibSyn”) to check out all of the old features, but moving forward, exclusive pieces will be released to our Patreon sponsors.
I WANT TO BE ON THE SHOW!
Great – we want you on the show! Check out the Be On The Show! page for details on how to submit.
How can I submit a topic of discussion?
There are two ways you can do this, and both can be found on our Topic Submission page!
What kind of recording equipment do I need to be on the show?
Nothing fancy we assure you! Something other than the built in microphone is recommended, although if you are able to record in a small room and surround yourself in pillows (or cover yourself with a blanket), the built in microphone should be fine. Headphones are really important. Earbuds aren’t the best, but if that’s all you have, turning the volume all the way down when recording is best. Biggest tip? Turn off your ceiling/desk/floor fan. They’re much louder than you think.
What kind of computer software do I need to be on the show?
Can you please send this email to J.K. Rowling? Emma Watson? Daniel Radcliffe?
Unfortunately, no, we can’t. If we were able to contact JKR, or Emma, or Dan, by email – we would send them so many emails, they would block us. Your best bet is to contact their agents or publishers.
