Chamber of Secrets - Chapters 11-12

This week we see one of the most important and most understated moments in the entire HP series. Tell me what you think it is in the comments below!

In 'The Duelling Club' Harry leaves the Hospital Wing and goes in search of his friends, only to find them making a start on the complicated Polyjuice Potion. The trio are now certain that the Heir is Draco, and that his father probably opened the Chamber 50 years ago.

Hermione's pristine behaviour record is slipping and letting off fireworks in a potions class has surprisingly few consequences.

Lockhart's Duelling Club successfully teaches the students a few new spells until Harry and Draco go head to head and things get a little out of hand.

In 'The Polyjuice Potion', following in the wake of more attacks, we find that not even the dead are safe. Will the Polyjuice potion offer the answers the school so desperately needs? Or will curiosity create a cat?

I agree with StoneShield128. Imagine if Harry had never learned Expelliarmus. He probably would've attempted to kill Voldemort with Avada Kedavra. These may have resulted in both Voldemort and Harry's death... or perhaps it wouldn't yield any results.

And thanks, Ali. If it helps: I tried another browser (I use Chrome usually) but it didn't help. I also cleared my browser history/cookies because sometimes that blocks me out of a site, but that didn't do anything either.

Hi guys!
I was listening to ur podcast, and in the dueling club chapter Draco uses the spell Serpentsortia, I was amazed that u guys (especailly Noah) never talked about the fact Draco had just created an animal out of thin air!
How do u guys think he did this? Is it similar to the desk pig? Can wizards simply create any animal they want?
Id love to here your guys thoughts on this!

In response to TootsieNoodles453: You're right! That is very strange. We know that there is a such thing as a Conjuring Spell, but it is definitely much too advanced for a second year. Keep in mind that Serpensortia only occurred to Draco after Snape had whispered it in his ear. Perhaps Snape didn't just tell Draco to cast that particular spell; maybe he also knew an easier way to perform a Conjuring Spell, and told Draco this as well. After all, Snape was the Half-Blood Prince, and was very intelligent as a student. He knew countless shortcuts for certain potions, so why shouldn't he know a few for some spells?
