So you've caught the right key, sneaked your way past Fluffy, ripped yourself out of Devil's Snare and even come face to face with the Mirror of Erised. Not shrinking from any of these challenges you moved onwards to the Dumble-door - a real door - which led you here. But where exactly is here...?

A pretty magical place. Created by a group of MuggleNet staff members who wanted to address a certain lack of spirit in the fandom, present ever since the final movie was released, Alohomora! was made in the fond hope of bringing the magic back. We plan to do this by going back to where the magic originated; the book series; and giving fans the chance to experience it online like never before.

A New Podcast: To lead this global re-reading of the entire Harry Potter saga MuggleNet has developed a brand-new podcast completely focused on book discussion. Each episode we will investigate two to three chapters (starting with chapters 1-3 of Sorcerer's Stone) and in the proper Alohomora-spirit we'll push ourselves to think about the text in new and interesting ways.

That's not all - because this is a show produced by fans, for fans, we want to give all fans the chance to be on our show. That's why we're going to feature a new voice from the fandom every single episode.

A New MuggleNet Section: Take a look around; what we have here is the landscape for a creative and academic project between fans worldwide and MuggleNet staff. Our new book companion, this website is a place where fans everywhere can share all kinds of Potter-related content, have critical book discussions, and once again enjoy that feeling of closely reading a book alongside thousands. Think of this as an extremely large book club - or maybe (more rightly) - the home of your extended family.
