Lily Evans and the Halo of Doom by The MuggleNet Quibbler
Rated: All Ages [Reviews - 28]
Summary: By Ellie: Lily Evans is painted as perfect, and this is unfair. Unable to see the wood for the trees, fans remember her in all her glory, unmarred by her human flaws. This essay addresses why this is horribly unfair, and remembers her as she probably was, imperfections and all.
Open at the Close: How Sorcerer's Stone anticipated Deathly Hallows by The MuggleNet Quibbler
Rated: All Ages [Reviews - 6]
Summary: By Conrad - My essay is about Sorcerer's Stone as it relates to Deathly Hallows, and how some of the elements of the first book were incorporated into the last. Now that all of the books and movies are finished, it is possible and very interesting to look back at how what happened in SS foreshadowed or made possible what happened in DH. My essay goes through nine of the major connections between these two books: Harry as a Horcrux, the character arc of Severus Snape, Harry and Ginny's relationship, Ron and Hermione's relationship, Gringott's Bank, the Invisibility Cloak, Harry's first Snitch, the Deluminator, and the "are you a witch/wizard or what?" quote connection. Through this essay, I hope the reader will come to a new appreciation of how amazingly well thought-out the Harry Potter series truly is.
Philosophers and Sorcerers: Was it really a prudent move to change the name? by The MuggleNet Quibbler
Rated: All Ages [Reviews - 6]
Summary: By Buckbeak: The only thing that infuriates me about the Harry Potter series is the -"slightly delicate -" situation of “the title change”; namely, the change from the British title “Philosopher’s Stone” to the American “Sorcerer’s Stone” for the US printed books. In this article I hope to point out some reasons why this change shouldn’t have happened. Please note, I mean no offense, particularly to the Americans who are reading this.

Why Harry and not the cat? by The MuggleNet Quibbler
Rated: All Ages [Reviews - 7]
Summary: By Katy: This essay explores just why Voldemort's soul latched onto Harry and why it didn't latch onto anything else when his soul was ripped in half.
We've talked a lot about where the curse of unicorn blood comes from, but just what exactly is the curse?! That's what this Quibble seeks to find out!
I'm back with more of my thoughts and questions that I had while re-reading the Harry Potter books. This time from Chapters 1 & 2 of Chamber of Secrets.
I pair up characters with magical creatures that are like them.
In which I try to explain my views on prejudice in the Wizarding world, and connect it to certain areas of the muggle world as well. The category is Fantastic Beats and Where to...
This is an essay I wrote for school comparing and contrasting the lives of Harry and Voldemort. It starts with their childhoods and continues until the end of the books.
