Summary: In this essay, I take a look at the fandom's particular bias towards Gryffindor house. Although many of us are happy to be members of another house, we tend to defend Gryffindor with the ferocity of a loyal member. This essay looks at arguments made about less favorable Gryffindor characters and traits, and suggests it is a prejudice towards Gryffindor that causes us to try to distance those characters from the house.
